What Do Tag Heuer and Mercedes Benz Have In Common?

STYLE! … oh, and a kick-butt commercial. Take a look at the sleek lines of both of these elegant designs:

If that doesn’t make you want to run out and buy a new Tag Heuer SLR for your wrist, and a new Mercedes for your garage, it will sure make you drool over the prospect. By the way, that party at the end, that’s for all the folks that buy both at once… just kidding, wouldn’t that be a cool perk though?

Watching the last 1/4 and seeing that watch assemble on screen, gave me a ‘mind-blow’ moment, too–do you ever really think about the complex little machine on your wrist? I guess that’s only me, maybe. I mean it boggles when you really think about it. For me, what I know about cars is pretty limited to stick a key in the slot, twist, and stomp on the pedal… if it moves, I’m good. That’s sort of the way I think about a watch too. Oh, I’m not talking about the elegance, or style, that’s distinguishable at a glance. I’m talking about what makes it ‘tick’. If I look at it, and it tells me it’s 6 p.m. and it IS 6 p.m.–I’m good.

It’s the way we, and I know I’m generalizing here, but a lot of people are like me in the ‘insert, twist, stomp’ category, take the marvelous technology we have all around us for granted.

Here’s a thank you to all of the ingenious folks around the world that create those products we can use to make every minute of our day better without having a clue as to the hard work and dedication it takes to build them.
