Piaget Miss Protocole Luxury Watches

Love, admiration, envy, greed, want, and need are all feelings all women will go through after viewing the Miss Protocole Watches by Piaget. We examined them thoroughly and decided the only way to present them to our readers is to show the entire collection.

Above is our favorite Piaget Miss Protocole watch. It’s a XL version with a white gold case and dial covered in 332 brilliant-cut diamonds (1.97 carats) with a turquoise-mauve butterfly motif swooping down from the top right corner to rest on a flower. This Paget Miss Protocol XL watch, and all the others, feature interchangeable straps and is exclusively sold in boutiques. This particular Piaget watch is one of 10 made.

Each motif in the Miss Protocole XL was created using the champlevé technique where an artistic engraver etches the design into solid gold while hollowing out the required areas.

Next the enameller fills in the hollowed out areas with enamel that has been ground into a powder and deposited wet and melted at over 800 degrees Celsius.

After the creating several layers and heating each it’s sanded to smooth out the surface and glaze to make it shine. Lastly, a gem-setter sets the jewels onto the watch using the utmost care as not to break the enamel, which is extremely delicate.

Here’s a closer look at the delicate process:

“Altiplano Eccentric Small Seconds” Piaget Watch Wins Watch Of Year

Altiplano Eccentric Small Seconds

We’ve been meaning to highlight watch of the year by Montres Passion since November but the Harry Winston Diana Minute Repeater stole our hearts and the spotlight; so better now than never.

This is the Altiplano Eccentric Small Seconds Watch by Piaget and it won Watch of the Year in Geneva this October.  The award was presented to Philippe Leopold-Metzger, the CEO of Piaget.

The Piaget Altiplano is one of Piaget’s famous ultra-thin watches and includes the revolutionary 12-lignes movement with a Manufacture Piaget Calibre 838P.  The show stopper, and what makes this Altiplano watch different from the other Altiplano watches in the collection is the small seconds counter at the 10 o’clock marker.  Aesthetically, Piaget moved their logo to the 3 o’clock marker creating a finished and refined look to the watch.

Other design points included the sapphire crystal on both sides of the case which allow the wearer to view the movement, blue screws, and a deep brown dial.
