Stunning Women’s Luxury Watches Part 1

Some luxury watches are just too beautiful not to mention, especially when designed for women. Many watchmakers will tell you that women’s watches give them pleasure because they can play with many colors, materials, jewels, and embellishments.

One watch that fits this equation perfectly is the Chopard Happy Sport ladies Watch with 18 K while gold diamond dial with 5 floating black diamonds and rubies and deep and luxurious red leather strap.

What distinctively stand out about this Chopard luxury watch is the ruby cabochon set crown and matching lugs that seem to tie together the entire look of the watch seamlessly without taking away from the case and dial.

The case itself is white gold set with black diamonds that envelop the bezel and screws for a luxurious look.  Additionally, the white diamond dial includes stunning elements; blue swordshape hands tick away the Roman numeral hours, 5 floating diamonds represent the materials used during the watch making process, and a diamond dial complements the entire case.

Other luxurious features include a screwed in case back, ruby studded dial, scratch resistant sapphire crystal, precise Swiss quartz movement, pin buckle clasp, and 30 meters of water resistance. However, the amazing feature is the total number of diamonds and gems which include 58 black diamonds and 40 rubies (1.58 ct of diamonds and 2.00 ct of rubies).

Edox Koenigsegg Limited Edition Watch

From the Proud Heritage Collection by Edox,  the above luxury watch is the Edox Koenigsegg Limited Edition. The thing we like most about this luxury watch is the presentation of the case, dial, and bezel.

A large diamond studded titanium stainless steel luxury watch case surrounds a unique dial with diamond hour markers.  Each hour marker has 3 diamonds place in a straight line, except for the hour markers that are disturbed by counters, logos, or date windows; those have one for two diamonds for the case window.

Another unique feature of the dial is the orange chronograph hands and tachymeter scale which calculates speed.  The Edox chronograph has stop and go functions, a large date window below the logo at the 12 o’clock marker, and hour, minute, and second miniature dials.

However, the real reason why this Edox watch is so special is because it was constructed in partnership with Koenigsegg, the world’s fastest serial production car and there are only 10 pieces worldwide.

The case is covered by curved scratch resistant and glareproofed crystal on both sides.  Additionally, the case of the Edox Koenigsegg Limited Edition watch is 48 mm in diameter and 19 mm in height.  This Edox watch also has 165 feet of water resistance.

Luxury watches by H.Stern influenced by von Furstenberg fashion

Last October fashionistas and watch lovers had their dreams come true when it was announced that Diane Von Furstenberg and Roberto Stern of H. Stern would definitely be collaborating on time pieces.  The talks were over and the watch making had begun.

The birth of the “Sutra Watch Collection” represented a line of timepieces created by H. Stern, but inspired by Diane von Furstenberg.  The line was created for the “modern woman on the go” and included sexy options like a pendant watch, the diamond watch, and the Sutra sport watch.

The first picture is the Sutra Watch in black and it has  black leather strap and case, black face with diamond hour markers weighing .05 in total carats, and a jeweled detailing.   Below is the  sexy Sutra watch pendant which creates a “Love Knot” detail, Swiss quartz movement, sapphire crystal case, and .02 ct. of diamonds.

A Look Back In Time: IceLink 6Timezone Snow Collection

Last year IceLink released its jaw dropping IceLink 6TimezoneSnow collection. Even though its been awhile, this watch is worth pulling out of the archives.  IceLink’s patent to be the watch to display six time zones on one watch has offered the company to secure the look just for themselves.

The IceLink 6 Timezone watch includes four time zones, one window for a power reserve and one window for a “snow zone”.  The snow zone can be easily identified on the watch case because multiple diamonds are floating and suspended in IceFuel liquid providing intricate movements as they swirl delicately with the movements of the wrist.

Other technical specifications included a White MOP dial, 3 piece Swiss Ronda  movement, 3 ATM of water resistance, crocodile or alligator leather straps, 5 year warranty, and 150 stone count…definitely worth pulling out the archives.

The Manhattan Watch By ‘Jacob The Jeweler’

You know him, you love him, and if you get a chance to do business with him, you know you have finally made it into the rich and famous club.  We are talking about ‘Jacob the Jeweler’.

Rappers and musicians from every back ground gave him the “Jacob The Jeweler” title representing a man who sells luxurious jewelry to the rich and the famous without budget. However, Jacob is more than a jeweler; he’s also a watch maker with his own line.  The one that the Watch Digest would love to get our hands on is called The Manhattan and it’s a limited edition Jacob & Co. watch with a diamond case top and signature case back.

The watch dial is what intrigued us most about Jacob & Co. ’s Manhattan Limited Edition Watch.  It’s actually a 3 dimensional dial watch reminiscent of monopoly with names of famous New York areas engraved into the dial face including Park Avenue, Wall Street, 5th Avenue, and Time Square.  In the center, the actual hour and minute hands with are encased in a 3D box and studded with diamonds.

It gets even better, the hour markers are pretty amazing too. New York buildings and shapes are used as hour markers for the 1,2, 4, 5, 7,8, 10, and 11 o’clock markers.  The 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock markers’ are diamond studded shapes and numbers.  The entire case measures at 29 by 29 millimeters and protects a Quartz movement and 5 jewels.  Sapphire crystal protects the case as a crocodile strap finishes off the look.

It’s an extravagant, over-the-top, and luxurious watch that only “Jacob the Jeweler” could create!

Oriental Blossom Time Cushion by Angular Momentum

Luxury watches fall in a number of categories including vintage watches, sports watch, diamond watches, and more.  But how about luxury watches so decadent that putting one on would change the way people look at you?  What about luxury watches so delectable that the a prince in Arabia would most likely own one?

That’s exactly what you would find in Angular Momentum’s Sculpture Collection, a collection of timepieces hand sculptured in silver and gold.

The watch above is entitled the Oriental Blossom Time Cushion and is hand sculptured and engraved using 18 karat gold.  All over the watch, 100 full cut diamonds add an amazing sparkle and a pear shaped padparadscha sitting proudly in the middle pointing at the digital time display.   The Oriental Blossom Time Cushion by Angular Movement is a mechanical self-winding  movement and a digital time display works through revolving disk.

One thing I was curious about was the Padparadscha.  The Padparadscha is described as one of the world’s most expensive and rarest gems… right along with the ruby or the emerald.  However, a natural Padparadscha is almost none existent its so rare that they start pricing at $5,000 per carat and can get up to $30,000 per carat depending on size, color, clarity, and tone.

Alain Silberstein Luxury Watches Bring on a Smile

Alain Silberstein Krono Bahaus 2 Diamonds Watch

The one thing about luxury watches is that boredom is never an option.  Whether they wow you with their beauty or shock you with their prices, the best surprise is when they actually make you smile.

One watch maker, Alain Silberstein, takes his job very seriously; as a matter of fact his tagline is “true happiness is to have one’s passion as a profession”.  Alain Silberstein’s watches fall into the luxury watch category for many reasons. Some say it’s the price of his watches, some say think it’s the materials, I say it’s his creative and funky design methods that add a little extra spunk to your wrist.

I have so many favorites from his collections that I had a hard time picking just one watch to share.  However, after looking around for a while I settled on a diamond watch from Alain Silberstein’s Klassik Collection entitled the Krono Bauhaus 2 Diamonds.  The Klassik Collection was actually the first collection created by Alain in 1987 and this amazing watch was one of his first creations.

Alain Silberstein’s Krono Bauhaus 2 Diamonds is a watch with a stainless steel case embedded with 438 diamonds!  Each diamond is VVS - Top Weselton and of the highest quality.  The Krono Bahaus 2 has an automatic calendar is a limited edition because Alain only made 999 of these watches. Each one has 10 bars of water resistance and anti glare crystal.

Bulova Wittanauer Ceramic Men’s Watch

Bulova Wittanauer Ceramic Men's Watch

Bulova prides itself in knowing precisely what sophistication is and how to make a watch seep of luxury.

A perfect example is this elegant Wittanauer Ceramic Men’s watch by Bulova.  The Men’s Wittanauer Ceramic Men’s Watch is made out of stainless steel in natural and black finish.  Each of the 49 diamonds on the watch were hand set including 38 diamonds on the case and 11 diamonds on the black enamel dial.

The Men’s Wittnauer Ceramic watch also has domed glareproofed sapphire crystal on both sides and luminous hour and minute hands for reading in the dark.  Other specifications of this Bulova watch inlcude a calendar, a second hand, a 6 screw locked caseback to ensure at least 30 meters of water resistance, and a locking deployment buckle to keep the watch in place.

Unfortunately, I do have a few down points about this Bulova watch.  The Bulova Men’s Wittnauer Ceramic watch has a two infuriating features that I wish they would have included in the watches calendar technology.  First, the watch calendar is programmed for a 31 day cycle.  Consequently, on the first day of any month following a month with less than 31 days, the date must be advanced manually.  Secondly, in some models the calendar cannot be changed manually between the hours of 9pm and 6am!

Van Cleef & Arpels Timepiece Will Charm You

Van Cleef Arpel Charms Timepiece

Van Cleef & Arpels Charms Timepiece is a watch jam-packed with character, history, exquisiteness and loads of diamonds.

Named appropriately after the English verb “to charm”, the Charms Timepiece was made to seduce luxury lovers into the ultimate attraction…the beauty of time.

The Van Cleef & Arpels Charms watch has four distinguishing qualities.  The first is the face of the watch which is made with a silver or gold guilloche dial and decorated with a repeating Alhambra motif.  The Alhambra motif is a renowned quatrefoil Van Cleef & Arpels design made popular in the 1970s, it’s suppose to offer the wearer luck and happiness.  The face also includes four large Roman Numeral hour markers at 12, 3, 6, 9 o’clock.

The second distinctive quality of the Van Cleef & Arpels Charms watch is the pink gold or white gold watch case set with two or three sizes of diamonds.  The larger diamonds surround the face of the Charms timepiece and the smaller diamonds surround the edge of the pink gold case. Some models of the Charms watch come with three rows of diamonds with the larger diamonds in the middle.

Van Cleef Arpel Charms Timepiece Collection

The third attribute of this spectacular watch is the interchangeable straps as seen below.

The fourth dazzling feature is the Alhambra pink gold or white gold charm that hangs from the case of the watch. Not only is the charm studded with diamonds but it also rotates 360 degrees.  Finishing off the watch is the Van Cleef & Arpels engraved signature on the side of the case.
